Countryside Core Values are central to our work with children. Our core values are Respect, Cooperation, Responsibility and Learning. They are posted throughout the school.
Responsive Classroom is an educational approach that is practiced in all our classrooms and throughout the Newton School District. Responsive Classroom is a research-based approach to K-8 teaching that focuses on the strong link between academic success and social-emotional learning (SEL). A high-quality education for every child is built on the foundation of creating a safe and joyful learning community.
We have a very active PTO who volunteer in the classroom, the school library, for field trips as well as for other programs throughout the school.
